Background:

Opened in 1959; housed in red-brick building on spacious, well-kept site in residential area of Campsie, surrounded by extensive playing fields. Most children live in Omagh, but many travel from rural areas. New early-years centre with nursery and two primary classrooms opened in September 2001; complements main building's 14 classrooms, computer suite, assembly hall with PE apparatus, and dining hall. French offered to Year 4 to Year 7 pupils. Wide-ranging extra-curricular provision covers activities such as computers, cookery and drama. Senior choir in UTV School Choir of the Year competition in 2000. Health Promoting School Gold Award (2005). Participating in Early Years Enriched Curriculum scheme: child-sensitive approach to learning that develops confidence, creativity and concentration in young child.
