Background:
Opened in January 1996 to replace two single sex schools, the school draws most of its pupils from the town of Coalisland. It is equipped with 'the most modern technology available' including a computer suite. Seventeen members of staff have qualified for ECDL. There are 'extensive' outdoor sports areas and a fully-equipped gymnasium. In addition to the Northern Ireland Curriculum, the school provides the opportunity to take part in choirs, instrumental tuition and other extra-curricular activities such as computers and sport. Each year, pupils raise funds for a charity of their choice. .
